.:Little Boys Tie Tutorial:.

I found a really cute tie pattern on pinterest & was dying to try it out! So today I got out my scraps of fabric & got to work! I found the pattern at Sharing The Wealth. The pattern is great! I did make a few changes though...

- My son is 2 1/2 & the pattern size given was a little short on him. So I extended it by about 4 inches & it worked out perfect!

- I shortened the length of the fabric that goes around the neck because I used elastic so he could slip it over his head. 

- Make sure to use a stiffer/thicker fabric. The green tie pictured was made with a very soft cotton & the blue was a thicker cotton. The blue tie ended up looking a little bit better in the end. But it was also my 2nd attempt so that may be contributed to the cause :)

But I absolutely adore how they turn out & can not wait to make about 15 more! :)
